Job Description

As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for developing inventive and cost-effective procurement strategies. Your key tasks and responsibilities will include: - Sourcing and engaging reliable and profitable suppliers and vendors. - Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms. - Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility. - Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers. - Approving purchase orders, organizing, and confirming delivery of goods and services. - Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements. - Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs. - Performing risk management for supply contracts and agreements by analyzing data and preparing control strategies. - Tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. - Overseeing and managing IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods. - Preparing procurement reports to provide an actual picture to the management. - Coordinating with other departments for smooth functioning and execution of projects. Qualifications required for this role include: - Working experience in the Mechanical and Electrical Industry. - Knowledge about Pipes & Fittings, Valves, Pumps, Cables, Motors, Panels, and Civil. - Preferably from the Water & Waste Water Industry. This is a full-time position with benefits including Provident Fund. The work schedule is a day shift, and the work location is in person.
