DSS Takara Bio India is a joint venture between DSS Imagetech Pvt. Ltd. and Takara Bio Inc. established in 2011 to bring world-class quality molecular biology tools and research kits to the doorstep of the Indian Scientific Community, making them readily available and affordable in the Indian biotechnology market.

We market products from Takara Bio, Clontech, Cellartis, and Rubicon to customers nationwide. Additionally, we represent comprehensive product lines from our Partnered brands, Macherey-Nagel, TriLink, and PromoCell. Currently, we manufacture Takara Bio-branded routine molecular biology products in India at our manufacturing unit in New Delhi.

Primary Role:

To support and lead R&D activities in biotechnology, including product development, Analytical evaluation standardization, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Design, plan, and execute experiments for new product development and analytical evaluation.
2. Further, based on customer feedback, create a study plan, execute experiments and troubleshoot the issue, thereby providing solutions to the customer’s feedback
3. Maintain accurate records, experimental logs, and prepare technical reports.
4. Conduct benchmarking and application data studies for products under development
5. Prepare SOPs, protocols, and documentation that can be shared with external customers
6. Follow Good Lab Practices (GLP) to ensure general laboratory maintenance and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory/quality guidelines.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Production, Regulatory, etc.) during technology transfer stages.
8. Stay updated with scientific literature and new techniques relevant to assigned projects.

Job requirements :

1. Basic understanding of QMS and in-vitro diagnostic kit-related regulatory requirements.
2. In-depth understanding and knowledge of molecular Biology techniques with Hands-on expertise in cloning, PCR/qPCR technologies.
3. Planning and organization skills
4. Strong reading and comprehension skills of peer-reviewed research papers
5. Strong scientific writing skills
6. Good communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
7. Ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks/projects concurrently
8. Good Microsoft Office skills

Qualification:

• M.Sc./M.Tech.—Biotechnology/Life Sciences

Experience:

• 5-8 yrs or more of R&D/ Product development experience
