Job Description

1. Quality Management System (QMS) Leadership

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Lead all internal and external quality audits and inspections, ensuring 100% compliance. Drive a culture of quality throughout the organization by providing training an mentorship to all employees on quality standards and procedures.

2. Quality Control & Assurance:

  • Establish and monitor quality control procedures for all stages of production, from raw material inspection to finished product testing.
  • Oversee the inspection and testing of incoming raw materials (e.g., Kraft paper, starch, adhesives) to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Develop and implement in-process quality checks and final product inspection protocols to ensure all corrugated boxes meet customer requirements and quality benchmarks (e.g., Bursting Strength, Edge Crush Test, Box Compression Test).
  • Manage and maintain all quality testing equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality. 3. Customer & Supplier Relations:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all quality-related customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Lead root cause analysis for all quality-related issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Work closely with the procurement team to evaluate and qualify suppliers based on their quality standards.
  • Conduct regular quality reviews with key customers to ensure satisfaction and alignment with their quality expectations.

4. Continuous Improvement:

  • Achieve and maintain a rejection percentage for each process that is below the established standard parameters.
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, or similar principles to reduce defects, rejection, and improve efficiency.
  • Analyze quality data and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop strategic action plans.
  • Prepare and present regular quality performance reports to senior management.

5. Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality inspectors and technicians.
  • Provide training on quality procedures, testing methods, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct performance reviews and set clear objectives for the quality team.
