Job Description

As the Assistant Manager-Pre Sales at Markem-Imaje, you will play a crucial role in supporting sales productivity and deal closure by securing the technical close in complex solutions. Your main responsibilities include collaborating with Sales and Technical Service teams to ensure proposed deals offer technical solutions that effectively address customer needs and are endorsed by key customer technical decision-makers. Your key responsibilities will include: - Providing appropriate solutions to customers to ensure a right first-time solution, including accurate pre-installation and handover data. - Validating applications and conducting feasibility studies for potential applications, demonstrations, and sampling. - Actively managing customer projects and meeting customer timeframes. - Conducting pre-installation visits and providing assistance as required. - Delivering internal and external training, including developing a product knowledge program for sales and technical teams. - Supporting the launch of new products and applications and analyzing these new applications. - Collaborating with sales teams on significant projects, offering coaching and professional development to enhance product knowledge and technical sales skills. - Exploring additional business development opportunities within customer firms and working with sales to progress these opportunities. - Monitoring customer support for proposed technical solutions throughout the sales process and alerting the sales and account teams of potential risks in deal closure. Qualifications required for this role: - Strong technical knowledge and skills on the Company's products and services. - Application knowledge in Food, Pharma, and District segments. - Ability to demonstrate a logical thinking process to troubleshoot and leverage materials and internal resources effectively. - Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and manage time efficiently. - Experience in Printers/PLC/Design/Software configurations. - Strong communication, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. - Customer-oriented, personable, and a team player. - Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science/Instrumentation only. - Minimum 7 to 12 years of service experience with a technical pre-sales or consulting role in a technology-based company with complex B2B interactions.
