We are a leading healthcare institution committed to excellence in patient care and clinical outcomes. We are looking for a highly skilled, dynamic, and results-driven Operations Manager to lead and manage the operational functions of our Cardiology Unit.
As the Assistant Manager - Operations (Cardiology Department), you will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of cardiology services—from outpatient care to interventional procedures—while optimizing administrative and clinical workflows, managing resources, and enhancing patient care quality.
Key Responsibilities
· Oversee day-to-day operations of cardiology services: patient scheduling, diagnostics, cath lab usage, inpatient coordination, billing, and follow-up care.
· Ensure optimal patient flow and turnaround times across patients, and procedural areas.
· Enforce adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and relevant healthcare regulations.
· Manage documentation, and support quality assurance and patient safety initiatives.
· Streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
· Supervise, and mentor cardiology administrative and support staff (e.g., front desk, scheduling, billing).
· Coordinate billing and collections in the cardiology department; and monitor costs.
· Act as liaison between clinical and administrative teams; support departmental meetings with agenda setting, minutes, documentation, and action tracking.
· Maintain up-to-date records of policies, SOPs, and governance documents for the cardiology department.
· Monitor patient satisfaction, address complaints, and implement strategies for improvement (e.g., feedback handling, process enhancements).
Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, Nursing, or a related field
· 5–7 years in hospital operations or healthcare management, ideally with experience in cardiology or cardiovascular services.
· Experience with staff management, governance support, and cross-departmental coordination
· Strong understanding of hospital workflows, clinical compliance, and healthcare performance indicators.
· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to work under pressure
· Financial acumen for budgeting and cost control.
· Familiarity with hospital information systems (HIS), electronic medical records (EMR), and scheduling tools.
