Department:
- Manage end-to-end O&M of HV/LV electrical assets substations, transformers, switchgear, control panels and transmission lines (11 kV / 33 kV / 66 kV and above).
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities as per OEM and CEA standards.
- Ensure reliability of SCADA data, protection relays and grid interconnections.
- Lead troubleshooting, isolation and restoration during breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Monitor health of auxiliary systems such as UPS, battery chargers, lighting and earthing systems.
2. Safety & Statutory Compliance
- Implement electrical safety systems PTW, LOTO, PPE and safe isolation practices.
- Ensure adherence to CEA Regulations, IE Rules and DISCOM/SLDC compliance requirements.
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments and toolbox talks regularly.
- Liaise with inspectorates for statutory approvals and renewals.
3. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor plant performance and system parameters through SCADA and field checks.
- Analyze tripping events, downtime and energy loss to identify corrective measures.
- Prepare MIS reports (daily/weekly/monthly) and maintain O&M documentation and test records.
- Support energy audit and asset condition assessment exercises.
4. Team & Contractor Management
- Supervise site engineers, technicians and contractors to ensure quality and safety compliance.
- Verify contractor performance and adherence to work scope, quality and documentation standards.
- Plan manpower deployment, shift and ensure adequate technical coverage during critical activities.
- Support vendor evaluations and performance improvement actions.
5. Knowledge Sharing & Capability Development
- Mentor and train on-roll engineers, freshers, and technicians on HV/LV systems and safe work practices.
- Conduct structured training modules and on-the-job learning sessions.
- Encourage peer learning, cross-functional exposure and continuous skill enhancement.
- Maintain a knowledge repository of SOPs, RCA learnings and maintenance best practices.
6. Asset Reliability & Continuous Improvement
- Identify improvement areas for reliability enhancement and O&M cost optimization.
- Support digital initiatives like CMMS, condition monitoring and analytics-based maintenance planning.
- Contribute to annual maintenance budgeting, spares planning and inventory control.
- Implement lessons learned across plants for operational standardization.
Internal:
- Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- CEA/TRANSCO/DISCOM/CEIG-licensed electrical supervisor preferred.
Experience
- 5-8 years of experience in operation and maintenance of HV/LV systems (11 kV66 kV).
- Prior exposure to renewable energy (solar, wind, or hybrid) O&M operations preferred.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in HV/LV electrical systems: transformers, switchgear, relays, isolators and transmission lines.
- Understanding of SCADA, relay coordination, and grid protocols.
- Working knowledge of CMMS, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and analytical tools.
- Familiar with electrical safety standards, protection schemes and statutory norms.
