Job Description

Role Overview: As the Assistant Manager / Manager - Purchase in Vadodara, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing and optimizing procurement activities within Engineering and Procurement. Your strategic thinking and expertise in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationship management will contribute significantly to project profitability and successful execution. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with project requirements and company objectives. Conduct market analysis, identify potential suppliers, and evaluate their capabilities. - Lead the sourcing process, including RFQ/RFP development, bid evaluation, and supplier selection. Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers for consistent quality and delivery performance. - Negotiate favorable contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Manage contract administration, including change orders, claims, and dispute resolution. - Implement cost-saving initiatives, analyze procurement expenditures, and identify process improvement opportunities. Develop and manage procurement budgets to meet financial targets. - Oversee the procurement process for assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment. Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders for seamless integration of procurement activities. - Identify and mitigate potential procurement risks, develop risk management plans for project continuity. - Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide training and development opportunities for team enhancement. - Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Prepare and present regular procurement reports to senior management. - Oversee inventory management practices for optimal stock levels and minimal carrying costs. - Coordinate with logistics teams for efficient transportation and delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
