Job Description

Expert hired will be responsible to reduce business risk by planning, executing and continuously improving realistic Disaster Recovery (DR) tests for IT Services, including the applications, infrastructure, documentation, tools, utilities, and skill sets that business processes depend upon. This role will also help the DR team, and the wider IT organization maintain constant preparedness to ensure the successful restoration of IT Services within defined criteria in the event an actual disaster is declared; coordinates Disaster Recovery activities according to established plans and processes in the event an actual disaster is declared. Responsibilities Lead, Execute and Audit Disaster Recovery (DR) tests for IT Services, including the underlying applications, infrastructure, documentation, tools, utilities. Maintain constant preparedness to ensure the successful restoration of IT Services within defined criteria in the event an actual disaster is declared Implement and continuously improve DR best practices and the IT DR process. Monitor activities in the IT production environment to detect potential or actual disaster events. Work a non-standard shift to support IT-DR Tests. Friday thru Monday 4 x 10 shift. Collaborate with colleagues in IT Resiliency Assurance to ensure that DR is appropriately integrated with resiliency plans Education : Bachelor's Degree Relevant work Experience: 7 - 10 years ​Experience with IT Disaster Recovery and/or Business Continuity, with experience leading moderately complex technology organizations through actual and practiced disaster scenarios. Expertise in DR test planning and execution with focus on continuously improving the firm’s DR capabilities. Good knowledge of IT DR automation tools preferred. Strong process orientation, including familiarity with ITIL’s IT Service Continuity Management process and agile methodology· Certifications in current industry-standard is a plus. Strong verbal/written communication, with ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of responsibility and authority. Must be able to prioritize, delegate and foster the development of high-performance teams to lead/support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork. Strong trouble-shooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to participate in resource planning processes based on defined organizational plans.
