Assistant Manager- Key Accounts

• Experience in technical sales or application engineering of welding consumables (stick, MIG/MAG, TIG, SAW, fluxes, wires). Understanding the product's role in various applications (e.g., pressure vessels, structures, pipelines, Wind Tower, etc.)
• Conduct product trials, demonstrations, and customer training. Prepare a presentation to explain points of differentiation and cost effectiveness of the products.
• Responsible for sales and business development of welding consumables in a defined industry segment by identifying opportunities, generating leads, and closing deals.
• Provide technical support on welding processes and consumable selection to end-users, Sales team and distributors.
• Build strong relationships with key accounts, EPCs, OEMs, and fabrication plants and relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Sales, R&D, and application teams for segment-specific solutions.
• Ensure product approvals and participation in pre-qualification processes.
• Monitor competitor activity and develop counter strategies.
• Maintain sales forecasts, reports, and CRM data. Prepare business case of product potential for PAN India requirements
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (AWS, ASME, ISO) and customer specifications.
  

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering/ Materials Science,
• Advanced degrees with specialization in Welding Technology/ fabrication is highly desirable.
• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the welding industry, specifically in the technical sales and application support for welding consumables.
• Travel to customer’s place as per requirement (40 - 60%).
