Assistant Manager - Internal Audit

As an Assistant Manager at KPMG in India, you will be a key member of project teams overseeing process consulting, internal audit, risk consulting, and other solutions within the Governance, Risk, and Compliance Services (GRCS) domain. Your responsibilities will include interacting with client representatives to understand project requirements, proactively identifying business opportunities, delivering high-quality client services, monitoring progress, managing risks, and ensuring key stakeholders are informed. To excel in this role, you should have experience in process consulting, internal audit, or risk consulting, along with a strong understanding of business processes and potential operational risks in at least one industry sector. You must possess the ability to perform process gap analysis, identify business process risks, and understand control rationalization, optimization, effectiveness, and efficiency. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analytics skills are essential, with knowledge of advanced data analytical tools considered advantageous. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for this role, as you will be required to present findings and insights to clients and internal teams. Demonstrating leadership qualities, working well in teams, and being adaptable to new knowledge and industry developments are also key attributes. Proficiency in IT systems, including MS Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, is necessary. The role may involve travel to client locations within India and abroad, requiring flexibility and a willingness to work under pressure, meet stringent deadlines, and adapt to demanding client conditions. Integrity, strong work ethic, and the ability to lead by example are highly valued qualities at KPMG in India. Qualified candidates for this position include Certified Chartered Accountants (CAs) with articleship from Big-4 firms, MBAs from a top 10 Business School with 3-5 years of experience in risk consulting, operations, or compliance functions. Alternatively, qualified CAs from non-Big 4 firms, MBAs from non-top 10 B-Schools, or Graduates with relevant experience may also be considered based on their qualifications and experience level. Graduates with CS/ICWA certifications and relevant experience or certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) are encouraged to apply.
