Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  1. Communication & Coordination

    : Act as the primary liaison, managing communication and coordination with overseas agents, shippers, CHAs, transporters, clearance teams, CFS teams, shipping lines, and KAMs to ensure seamless operations.
  2. Shipment Planning & Execution

    : Oversee the planning and execution of ocean freight shipments in line with SOPs to ensure efficient service delivery.
  3. Carrier/Co-loader Bookings

    : Handle the booking process with carriers and co-loaders, ensuring timely shipment scheduling and space availability.
  4. Logistics Management

    : Coordinate the end-to-end logistics process, including the arrangement of pickups, customs clearance, and stuffing of containers.
  5. Document Verification

    : Conduct thorough checks of HBL and MBL documents after the document control team has completed their verification, ensuring accuracy.
  6. Onboard Shipment Updates

    : Provide regular updates to shippers and overseas agents regarding the status of shipments once onboard.
  7. Invoice Verification

    : Review and verify carrier and vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with agreed terms.
  8. Financial Accuracy

    : Ensure that income and expense provisions are accurately updated in the L-shipping system as soon as shipments are stuffed into containers.
  9. Pre-alert Notifications

    : Send pre-alerts to overseas agents promptly to ensure all stakeholders are informed and prepared for the cargo's arrival.
  10. Daily Shipment Reports

    : Maintain and update the Daily Status Report (DSR) and ensure it is submitted to the reporting manager on a daily basis.
  11. KPI Adherence

    : Ensure strict adherence to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to maintain high standards of operational performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in ocean freight operations within the freight forwarding industry.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs clearance, and documentation.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills, with an ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in logistics and freight management systems, including L-shipping.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
