Job Description

Purpose/Objective


    To ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of electrical and instrumentation systems during the shift in the Oxygen Free Copper & Alloy Plant. The role involves managing shift activities, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    - Supervise and lead the E&I team during the shift to ensure optimal plant performance. - Monitor and maintain all electrical and instrumentation equipment including PLCs, drives, SCADA systems, and field instruments. - Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance activities as per schedule. - Coordinate with production and utility teams for smooth operations and quick resolution of issues. - Ensure proper documentation of shift activities, maintenance logs, and incident reports. - Maintain inventory of critical spares and raise requisitions as needed. - Ensure adherence to safety protocols, statutory compliance, and energy conservation practices. - Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives. - Train and mentor junior technicians and operators. Key Skills: - Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and automation in process industries. - Hands-on experience with PLCs (Siemens, Honeywell, Yokogawa etc.), SCADA, and DCS systems. - Troubleshooting and analytical skills. - Team leadership and shift management. - Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., LOTO, arc flash, etc.). - Familiarity with ISO/TPM/5S practices is an advantage.

Qualifications and Experience


    - Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering. - 5–8 years of experience in E&I maintenance, preferably in copper or metal processing industries. - Experience in Oxygen Free Copper or Alloy Plants will be an added advantage.
