Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Reliability:
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance of pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, reactors, piping systems, and other mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Project & Design Support:
- Assist in installation, commissioning, and modification of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Review mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and ensure compliance with plant standards.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Participate in HAZOP studies and risk assessments for mechanical systems.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
- Prepare reports on equipment performance and reliability improvements.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and cost optimization in mechanical systems.
- Support root cause analysis for recurring mechanical issues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
3–7 years in maintenance or project engineering in a chemical/petrochemical plant.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of rotating and static equipment, piping systems, and mechanical seals.
- Familiarity with ASME, API, and other relevant standards.
- Proficiency in SAP/CMMS for maintenance planning.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
