Job Description

Role Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our B2B Control Tower team. The role involves end-to-end visibility, monitoring, and management of large-scale B2B logistics operations, ensuring seamless execution of shipments, proactive exception handling, stakeholder management, and process excellence. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, problem-solving ability, and operational expertise to improve the service levels and optimize cost efficiency across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Operations:

    • Monitor day-to-day B2B shipment lifecycle across multiple channels (FTL/LTL/PTL/Express/Last-Mile).
    • Drive end-to-end visibility by tracking shipments, resolving exceptions, and ensuring SLA adherence.
    • Act as a single point of contact for escalations and real-time issue resolution.
  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Collaborate with internal teams (planning, customer service, operations, finance) and external partners (transporters, 3PLs, vendors).
    • Provide timely updates and insights to business stakeholders and clients.
    • Conduct regular business reviews and performance updates with partners.
  • Performance & Analytics:

    • Track key metrics: on-time delivery, damages, transit delays, and cost efficiency.
    • Perform root cause analysis for failures and implement corrective & preventive actions.
    • Publish daily/weekly/monthly dashboards, MIS, and client reports.
  • Process Improvement & Automation

    • Identify process gaps and design SOPs for scalable and reliable B2B logistics operations.
    • Support automation initiatives, digital tools adoption, and control tower enhancements.
    • Work closely with product/tech teams to drive visibility solutions and predictive analytics.
  • People Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor a small team of control tower executives/analysts.
    • Ensure adherence to processes, training, and continuous capability development.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred; Graduate with relevant experience may also apply.
  • Experience:
    • Assistant Manager: 35 years in logistics / supply chain operations with at least 2 years in a control tower or similar function.
    • Manager: 5–8 years in logistics / B2B operations with 2–3 years in a leadership/control tower role.
  • Strong understanding of B2B logistics models (FTL, PTL, express, warehousing, distribution).
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI (additional)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Key Success Metrics:

  • SLA adherence (On-time delivery, damage %, TAT).
  • Reduction in escalations & exception resolution time.
  • Cost optimization vs. baseline.
  • Partner & client satisfaction scores.
  • Adoption of digital tools & process improvements.
