Job Description: Manager – Civil & Structural Design Department: Engineering & DesignLocation: AhmedabadExperience Required: 5–7 yearsEducation Qualification: B.Tech in Civil Engineering Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager – Civil & Structural Design to lead and oversee all civil engineering and structural design activities for current and upcoming infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a strategic mindset to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and code-compliant civil designs, particularly in complex industrial or renewable energy setups such as chemical plants and solar installations. Key Responsibilities:• Lead and manage the civil design team, ensuring timely and accurate design deliverables.• Review and verify structural and civil designs, drawings, and calculations for accuracy, safety, and compliance.• Plan, design, and coordinate geotechnical and infrastructural works across projects.• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) for seamless project integration. • Technical Oversight:• Develop cost-effective and sustainable design solutions.• Ensure all designs meet applicable Indian Standards (IS) and international codes.• Conduct detailed structural analysis using STAAD Pro and prepare RCC drawings.• Ensure the long-term structural integrity of solar installations, including modules, transformers, and MCR (Main Control Room). • Project Execution Support:• Monitor civil design progress against schedules and provide technical support during procurement and construction phases.• Estimate Bills of Quantities (BOQ), study material specifications, and perform cost analysis.• Participate in field inspections and site observations as required.• Assist in user requirement meetings and manage design input from concept through execution.• Conduct regular project review meetings and support in planning corrective actions. • Infrastructure Planning:• Plan and layout Main Control Rooms for operational efficiency, integrating electrical and control systems. Technical Competencies:• Proficient in STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, and PVSyst.• Strong understanding of RCC design, static and dynamic load behavior of structures.• Experience in foundation design, including transformer and panel bases.• Familiarity with IS codes and relevant international structural design standards.• Knowledge of civil design considerations in renewable energy projects is preferred.
