Assistant Manager - Chief Engineer

Job Description

This role exists to support the NPD activities in electric scooter . Cordinate th program activities within Vehicle engineering across domains like Engineering , Component testing and Vehicle testing with focus on first time right (Quality ) , delivery time lines and cost . Liason with Program managment to converge engineering activies with overall program time line . Act as a SPOC from Vehicle engineering to variour stake holders out side Vehicle engineerings like Design Studio , Manufacting , Plant quality and PM office Conduct Project review meetings with respective teams on Deliverables and Change content Manage engineering time lines on the project deliverables by reviewing project progress , escalation and communicating with various stake holders to resolve issues and road block Liaise with Vehicle testing , Component testing , on Design and Product validation Liaise with System integration , Design studio and Product team to get product and performance inputs and cascade it to Design teams . Act as a overall co dinator to manage information flow of inputs and deliverables like drawings and technical specifications Accountable for meeting program time lines from engineering side . Represent VE in Market quality issues resolution. Lead build activities for the new programs in the FF by mobilising resourses needed . Connect varirioius functions like Quality , plant , Sourcing for smooth build off activities Liase with Stratagic sourcing to in giving technical requiremnt to vendors in RFQ management Bachlor in Engineering , Mechanical / Electrical engineering from reputed institute 2 to 5 years experience in Project management , NPD would be prefered . Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems of Electrical scooters is desired Understanding of project mangement tools , gantt chart , delay chart , report writing is must Should have basic understanding of problem solving tools like fishbone diagram , DoE, QC tools and Six sigma Show more Show less
