Job Description

An Assistant Calibration Manager job involves supporting the Calibration Lab Manager by overseeing daily operations, supervising technicians, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation and calibration records, managing inventory, assisting with quality assurance processes, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. The role also involves training staff and addressing customer inquiries. Key responsibilities

  • Supervision: Assist the Calibration Lab Manager in supervising and coordinating calibration technicians.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all calibration procedures meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as ISO standards, and maintain quality management systems.
  • Documentation: Oversee the creation and maintenance of accurate records, including calibration certificates, test reports, and other quality-related documents.
  • Training and mentorship: Provide training and guidance to new and existing calibration technicians.
  • Inventory management: Manage the inventory of calibration equipment and supplies, ensuring availability and proper maintenance.
  • Process improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of calibration processes.
  • Customer service: Address customer inquiries and concerns related to calibration services.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on lab performance and calibration activities to management.

Required skills and experience

  • Technical skills: Experience with calibration software, and hands-on experience with various types of equipment (e.g., electrical, dimensional, RF).
  • Quality management: A strong understanding of quality management systems like ISO 9001 or ISO 17025 is often required.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, management, and customers.
  • Troubleshooting: Advanced skills in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and resolving issues methodically.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per year
