About the Role

Buying & Merchandising professional

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and build the

  footwear category

  across India with complete P&L ownership.
• Lead

  seasonal range planning

  and

  assortment building

  with a focus on

  local product development

  through Indian factories.
• Partner with the

  local sourcing team

  to deliver best-in-class footwear collections for all genders.
• Understand business dynamics across

  Retail, MBO, Distribution, and E-commerce

  to strengthen category performance.
• Support in

  new product development

  and channel-specific launches.
• Manage

  sell-through, markdown planning, and GM% targets

  for the category.
• Conduct

  seasonal product presentations, partner conferences

  , and training sessions.
• Oversee

  end-of-season sale planning

  and manage

  seasonal deliveries

  .
• Create

  buying forms, assortment plans, and catalogues

  for each channel.
• Perform

  data-driven analysis

  on category, region, and store-level performance (gender/style/size).
• Collaborate with marketing teams to align with the

  seasonal marketing calendar

  and initiatives.
• Conduct

  product knowledge sessions

  and training for store teams.

Role Requirements

Qualification:

• Graduate/ Postgraduate from Design Institute
  

Experience:

• 4–5 years of experience in

  Buying, Merchandising, and Product Development

  within the

  footwear category
