Job Description

This requirement plays a key role in driving business growth by supporting customer engagement, account management, proposal preparation, and opportunity identification. The role requires regular interaction with customers, internal coordination for proposals and deliverables, and proactive market research to strengthen Sasmos presence in target sectors.

Educational Qualification / Experience Required:

- Graduate degree in Engineering/Business Management (preferred: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related streams).

- 10 to 12 years of experience in business development, sales, or customer relationship management.

- Exposure to aerospace, defence, automotive, or related industries preferred.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Business Development Strategy

Implement tactical plans defined by the Head BD to achieve business targets.

Generate leads, identify opportunities, and support sales conversion.

Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and timely follow-ups.

  • Customer Account Management

Act as a key contact for assigned customers, ensuring proactive engagement.

Build and maintain strong relationships through regular visits and interactions.

Maintain updated customer records and track activities using CRM systems.

  • RFQ and Proposal Management

Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to prepare competitive proposals.

Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and customer-centric approach in RFQ responses.

Address customer queries and follow up for timely closures.

  • Market Research and Opportunity Tracking

Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.

Identify and qualify new opportunities in domestic and international markets.

Share insights with the Head BD for decision-making and strategy formulation.

  • Cross-functional Coordination

Liaise with internal teams to align deliverables with customer expectations.

Support execution of orders/projects ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

Brand-Building Support

Represent Sasmos at exhibitions, trade shows, and industry events.

Contribute to marketing initiatives by preparing presentations and case studies.

Technical/Functional Competencies:

- Business development and account management skills.

- Understanding of proposal/RFQ processes and customer engagement.

- Knowledge of products like Wiring Harnesses, Electro-Mechanical Integration, or related solutions (preferred).

- Commercial acumen to support pricing and negotiation discussions.

- Ability to research, analyse, and report market intelligence.

- Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems for customer and opportunity tracking.
