Role & responsibilities Identification of New Molecules with the best route of synthesis and safety Management meetings for R&D and manufacturing approvals of upcoming and profitable molecules (API intermediates or Fine chemicals). Brief literature survey and assessments for developing the best working synthetic route with optimization study and process validation for yield, purity and low cost. Assigning work to the subordinates with weekly planning and weekly updates Developing safe and scalable processes at R & D level by performing safety assessments. Converting batch process to continuous flow. Responsible for identification and audit for third-party manufacturing facility approval. Synthesizing the molecules on mg to gram scale with process validation as well as scale-up studies. Responsible for ISO certification as Auditee. Any other work or assignment as assigned by the Management. Identification of new API intermediates, speciality chemicals with potential feasibility in domestic as well as regulatory market. Conduct Management meetings for R&D and manufacturing approvals of upcoming and profitable molecule (API intermediates or Speciality chemicals). Guided a team of minimum 15 research associates including synthetic R&D, Tech transfer and ADL with daily reportings and quarterly reviews. Brief literature survey using Reaxys, Smartchem and assessments for developing best working synthetic route with optimization study and process validation for yield, purity and low cost. Responsible for laboratory safety, risk assessment for process deviations. Good Knowledge of interpretation of molecules by 1HNMR, 13C NMR, IR, HRMS and GCMS. Responsible for reporting to international customers (US/UK/Japan). Responsible for ISO certification and ISO Audits. Responsible for planning & execution of lab trial & validation batches, pilot plant validation batches & commercial validation batches with subordinates. Responsible for technology absorption & technology transfer review for new molecule from R&D to pilot plant & commercial plant. Evaluation of safety data & critical process parameter identification during lab optimization, pilot plant & commercial batches. Review pilot plant campaign & technology transfer campaign, providing technical support, planning resources, co-ordination with other department for successful execution. Execution and evaluation of HAZOP study for new & existing process for scale-up, technology transfer, site transfer and plant transfer across the location. Process de-bottlenecking and troubleshooting of plant problems, manufacturing issues with process and engineering control across the location. Evaluation and execution of root cause analysis for OOT & OOS through historical data. Responsible for process improvement, cycle time reduction, process de-bottlenecking for throughput improvement, solvent recovery & recycle improvement. Drive various cost reduction initiatives in the facility like throughput improvement, process scale-up, process simplification, solvent recovery & recycle improvements, and yield improvement by engineering control without process change. Responsibility: Oversee & strategize the Overall Sales process along with Director. Regularly create and change Sale Plan to establish sales targets and marketing strategies to describe measure and roadmap to accomplish the goals. Set out yearly sales target of enhancing sales through new clients and offering better products to existing customer. Procuring new client through direct contact, WOM marketing, media, networking activities, research, leads from Director/Management. Prepare and deliver pitches to potential client with consent of Director. Maintaining meaningful relationships with existing clients to ensure that they are retained. Search, identify and negotiate with domestic or international suppliers/vendors of raw material to secure the most attractive prices with standard quality as per SOPs, to bring down the production cost. Identification of critical new products for research & commercialization and suggesting upgrades or added products and services that may be interest of clients. Framing business proposal & contract to enhance more revenue from client. Coordinate with client to clarify & satisfy the objection if any, to maintain goodwill of the organization. Reviewing clients feedback and ensure implementing necessary change in concern area, process, equipment, department and procedure with approval of Director. Acquaint and attend industry functions, association events & conferences and update information and observation with the management and concern department head. Endure with business trends and consumption to ensure that our offering remain relevant and propose new services and products. Ensure correct billing raised to the client and receipt of payment on due. Handle documentation for import and export and coordinating with Banks for smooth transit. Maintain and update records of all activities related to Business Development. Any other work as assigned by the Management.
