Job Description

Location: Andheri, Mumbai, India (Head office)

Department: Business Development and Licensing
Experience: 6 + years in Business Development and Project Management Role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Landscaping & Business Development:

  • Conduct detailed market analysis to identify new business opportunities in CDMO, B2B out-licensing, and in-licensing segments.
  • Develop and maintain a robust business CMO/Licensing pipeline for North America.
  • Generate leads and initiate contacts with prospective clients.
  • Introduce company capabilities to potential partners and customers.
  • Respond to RFQs, prepare business cases, and develop proposals aligned with client needs.

2. Commercial Negotiations:

  • Drive pricing discussions and contract negotiations to maximize business value.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure commercial proposals are feasible and profitable.
  • Support management in strategic decision-making for portfolio expansion.

3. Portfolio Evaluation & Strategic Planning:

  • Evaluate new product opportunities, assessing technical feasibility, market potential, and alignment with company capabilities.
  • Assist in prioritization and selection of projects for in-licensing, out-licensing, or contract manufacturing.

4. Project Management (Post-Onboarding):

  • Lead cross-functional project teams (CFTs) including Regulatory, Packaging, QA, QC, Technology, and Manufacturing.
  • Coordinate all internal and external activities to ensure timely product development, manufacturing, and launch.
  • Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure commitments are met.
  • Proactively solve challenges and remove bottlenecks during project execution.
  • Ensure accurate billing, contract compliance, and recovery of payments from customers.

5. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, maintaining strong and transparent communication.
  • Attend client meetings and calls, providing updates and addressing queries or concerns.
  • Build long-term partnerships to facilitate repeat business and strategic collaborations.

6. MIS & Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain MIS dashboards to track business development activities, pipeline status, project progress, and financial metrics.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for business growth through data-driven analysis.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors/Masters degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical business development, project management, or CDMO operations.
  • Strong understanding of North American pharmaceutical market dynamics.
  • Experience in licensing, out-licensing, and contract manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
