Role Purpose:

Responsible for sourcing electronic components (active, passive, electromechanical) and managing procurement activities for new projects, ensuring cost optimization, supplier development, and timely delivery in a fast-paced EMS environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Electronics Component Sourcing:
Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for semiconductors, passives, connectors, and other electronic components.
BOM Costing:
Analyze Bill of Materials (BOM) for cost estimation and optimization.
RFQ Management:
Prepare, float, and evaluate RFQs; negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers.
Supplier Development:
Build and maintain strong relationships with global and local suppliers for negotiation and new requirements.
Cost Reduction Initiatives:
Drive VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) and cost-saving projects.
Project Coordination:
Interact with customers for development-related queries; set project priorities and monitor procurement activities for new project stages.
Supplier Consolidation:
Implement yearly buying and cost innovation plans.
Reporting:
Prepare MIS, reports, and presentations for management review.
Price Verification and Approval:
Ensure accuracy and compliance in pricing approvals.

Must-Have Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of electronic components (semiconductors, passives, connectors, etc.).
Expertise in BOM analysis and costing.
Proficiency in RFQ process and negotiation skills.
Familiarity with ERP systems and sourcing tools.
Excellent communication and vendor management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced EMS environment.
