We have helped prevent 0.5% of India’s total carbon emissions and 1.1% of India’s total power sector emissions, in addition to generating around 130,000 jobs over the past decade Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for the position of Assistant General Manager / Deputy General Manager – Government Relations & Corporate Affairs to be based in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a robust network within the Maharashtra State Government, various ministries, and bureaucratic channels. The incumbent will be responsible for managing strategic government relations, stakeholder management, policy advocacy, and ensuring smooth coordination with regulatory authorities. Key Responsibilities: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key officials in Maharashtra State Government, ministries, regulatory bodies, and other government agencies.Monitor regulatory and policy developments and provide insights to the management to align business objectives with government priorities.Liaise with state-level bureaucrats and public sector entities to facilitate project approvals, clearances, and other statutory requirements.Represent the company in forums, industry associations, and government meetings as required.Drive advocacy efforts and build support for issues critical to the company’s operations and growth.Manage and resolve any issues related to corporate affairs, compliance, and regulatory matters.Prepare detailed reports, briefs, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.Support the corporate strategy team in managing ESG, CSR, and sustainability-related government engagements.Coordinate with legal, technical, and business teams to ensure alignment on regulatory and governmental issues. Preferred Attributes: Experience working with government liaison, public policy, or corporate affairs departments in reputed organizations. Deep knowledge of the Maharashtra state regulatory landscape and energy/infrastructure policy frameworks.Ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
