JOB DETAILS / ROLE PURPOSE. This role consists of ensuring the management of the Transaction Accounting department. It implies organizing the department, lead and develop the people and have the proper |T tools to ensure the excellence of the operations related to the Accounting Calculations, Bookings. Ensuring all the month end and quarter end activities have been completed in accordance with the process documentation and standard AzP procedures. The activities and responsibilities in the role include Balance Sheet Recs & Clearing, Accruals/prepaid booking, technical Reserving, FX & Dep run, & other reporting. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES. Review of journals associated with finalizing the monthly result for all lines of business having sound understanding of various monthly sales, cost and claims reconciliations. Understanding of unearned revenue, fair understanding of reserving, prepaid, Accruals etc. Provide active inDUt into the design and implementation of Drocess imDrovement initiatives SOP documentation, analysing processes & recommending improvements. Understanding of reinsurance, technical reserving & IBN R etc. Understanding of invoicing, credit notes, commission and client cost rebills and IC cost. Understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, oven item management, follow uo on oven items. Understanding on assets accounting and FX evaluation on foreign currency balances. Provide active into the design and imDlementation of process improvement initiatives. Other adhoc tasks and resDonsibilities as the need arises. PROFILE KEY REQUIREMENTS. Communication. Excellent written and verbal communication. Networking skills: Ability to liaise with members of other functions. Ability to work and communicate with different cultures, levels and organizations world-wide. Manaqement. Team Management, Project & Transition Management. Strong analytical skill & Sound accounting knowledge. Ability to consolidate large volume of data into structured and simple outputs. Previous experience in Month end Closing & reporting. Insurance & Reinsurance experience & SAP is preferable. Proactive decision makinp, Solutions and results oriented. Openness and flexibility to address challenges from various prespective in order to find the best possible way to manage the challenge. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-taskinp skills. Ability to innovate and seek for advances in technology and practices. Provide exceptional customer service to be internal and external stakeholders. MS office proficiency (Powerpoint, Intermediate or advanced Excel skills etc). Experience: 10 -15 years of experience.
