Job Description

As the Assistant Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for supervising all front office personnel to ensure the smooth completion of all front office duties. Your role will involve overseeing the front desk, reservations, guest services, and telephone areas, as well as preparing monthly reports and budgets for the front office department. Your key responsibilities will include scheduling front office staff, managing workload during shifts, evaluating the job performance of each front office employee, and maintaining effective communication with all departments. You will also be in charge of maintaining master key control, ensuring accurate room status information is communicated, and resolving guest problems efficiently and courteously. Additionally, you will update group information, review credit limit reports, work within the allocated budget, and relay important information to incoming managers. It will be your duty to check cashiers in and out, enforce cash-handling policies, and conduct regular meetings with front office personnel. You will play a crucial role in maximizing room revenue and occupancy by monitoring status daily, analyzing rate variances, and maintaining a close watch on daily house count. Moreover, you will be responsible for monitoring high-balance guests, ensuring adherence to hotel policies, and operating the Front Office computer system. Maintaining a high level of hospitality and professionalism is essential in this role. You will be required to prepare performance reports, revenue forecasts, and occupancy forecasts. Additionally, you will oversee the logging and delivery of messages, packages, and mail in a timely manner, and ensure that all employees provide excellent customer service to guests, managers, and colleagues.
