Assistant Engineer - Instrumentation (on contract)

Job Description

GIFTCL invites application for the position of Assistant Engineer - Instrumentation. This is a contractual position for a period of 5 years. The remuneration will be commensurate with qualification and experience. The candidate should have done B. tech/ B.E. in Instrumentation/Electronics/ Information Technology / Electrical Engineering with minimum 03 years of experience or Diploma in Instrumentation /Electronics/IT/ Electrical Engineering with minimum 06 years of experience. Relevant Experience in OT/IT Networking and SCADA/IBMS systems of any of the following plant: Control Command Centre/ Substation/WTP/ /HVAC/STP/Process automation. Detailed job description is as under, Candidate shall be posted in shift/General as & when required & will be available for any critical condition to attain the break downs. He shall be responsible for monitoring GIFT utilities SCADA system from the City Control Command Centre for GIFT Company limited & required to do following activities- Ensuring the Connectivity of all utilities SCADA at the City Control Command Platform. Configuration, Integration, testing & Maintenance of Networking Devices (Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Wireless Controller, Access points, IEDs, Relays & other Networking devices. Perform L1 tasks like LAN/VLAN/WAN Creation, Port mapping, Routing, User Mapping & connectivity, DHCP, Wireless Connectivity issues etc. Installation and maintenance of network hardware and software, analyses problems, and monitors networks to ensure their availability to users. Supervision of Operation & Maintenance activities pertain to Instrumentation & Control. Regular monitoring of the KPI parameters of System. Regular updating and compilation of data received from the various department of engineering. Preparation of monthly incident reports of utilities plant. Centrally, coordination with the other utilities for informing about the downtime. Regular monitoring the major component of Software and Hardware ensuring the highest availability of the System Lead the Site acceptance test in coordination with the vendor and closure the same with checklist and MOM. Troubleshooting of Field Instruments. Implementing & ensuring Safety practices while working. Maintaining system handing over and taking over charge sheets. Competencies Required : Knowledge of PLC and SCADA System, Automation protocols & Server Client Architecture Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools. Expertise in Maintenance of OT/IT network (LAN and WAN) and system security. operating Systems (OS) installation & up gradation. Working and troubleshooting on routing protocols. Configuration of VLANs, RSTP, MSTP, IGMP, SNMP. Knowledge of Field Instruments/Analysers (Flow, BTU, Pressure, Level, DPIT, DO, PH, TDS, TSS, FRC, BOD, COD, Conductivity, Relays, and its wiring. Good Knowledge on Networking Layers, OSI layers and Fibre Optic Network-GPON. Understanding & Awareness of OT Cyber Security.
