Contract management

• Review contracts or any other documentation where the University has committed itself and assess legal implications that need to be brought to the executive management’s attention.
• Prepare, review and modify contractual instruments to assist and support various business activities.
• Negotiate, review and draft documentation for business transactions.
• The scope of documents includes the real estate, maintenance, marketing, sales, vendor, international, Information Technology, finance etc.

Litigation Management

• Review progress of litigation matters and liaise with and manage external lawyers.
• Maintain effective relationships with various Counsels, legal / statutory bodies, stakeholders for effectively
• Handling issues related to legal matters.

Intellectual Property Right Management

• Discuss and strategies with the external Counsels on pending/new Trademark and copyright matters;

Compliances and Policies development

• Developing and updating policies relating to governance and regulatory affairs and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
• Excellent knowledge of regulatory framework including policies and processes as per UGC, and other regulatory bodies like Bar Council of India etc.

Right to information

• Coordinating with the internal stakeholders and preparing the responses of the RTI’s to ensure the compliance with applicable laws.
