Assistant Design Engineer

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Assistant Design Engineer to join our engineering team.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Assistant Design Engineer will assist the senior engineering team in designing efficient, cost-effective, and code-compliant HVAC systems for various projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate or a junior-level professional looking to build a career in HVAC design.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the design and layout of HVAC systems including ductwork, piping, and equipment selection based on project requirements.
• Prepare detailed HVAC drawings using AutoCAD under the supervision of senior design engineers.
• Review architectural and structural drawings to coordinate mechanical design with other trades.
• Assist in drafting BOQs (Bill of Quantities), design documents, and cost estimations.
• Coordinate with procurement, site, and project teams to ensure the design intent is implemented accurately.
• Research and specify appropriate HVAC components and systems based on design and performance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, etc.), and client specifications.
• Participate in design review meetings and site visits as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in HVAC design (internship or training experience is acceptable).
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and building services.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience with Revit or BIM software is a plus.
• Familiarity with HVAC design tools such as HAP, DuctSizer, PipeSizer, or similar is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a technical engineering environment.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively under supervision.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
