Role Overview: As an Assistant Professor in Film Direction at MIT-WPU's Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Institute, your role will involve delivering hands-on, practical courses in Film Direction and mentoring aspiring filmmakers through a practice-based approach. You will oversee film shoots, editing processes, and studio activities, organize workshops and industry engagement events, and collaborate with internal faculty to enhance academic delivery. You will also be responsible for curriculum development, academic audits, and facilitating industry-academic conversations. Key Responsibilities: - Design and deliver courses in Film Studies. - Conduct independent research and publish in peer-reviewed journals. - Mentor students in academic writing and critical analysis. - Lead seminars, conferences, and faculty development programs. - Manage curriculum development and academic audits. - Facilitate industry-academic conversations. Qualification Required: - PhD in Film Studies or related discipline. - 5-8 years of teaching/research experience. - Record of academic publications and conference participation. - Experience in curriculum design and academic administration.,
