Assistant Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Assistant Accountant to support our Accounts & Finance team. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, assisting in compliance, and supporting audits and reporting. Key Responsibilities • Maintain books of accounts and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions • Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements • Handle accounts payable and receivable • Prepare and reconcile bank statements • Maintain vouchers, invoices, bills, and supporting documents • Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances • Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits • Maintain ledgers, journals, and cash/bank books • Support payroll processing and expense verification • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Required Qualifications & Skills • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent • Knowledge of basic accounting principles • Familiarity with accounting software (Tally / ERP / Excel) • Working knowledge of GST and TDS is preferred • Good proficiency in MS Excel • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks Experience • 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance (freshers may apply if suitably skilled) Preferred Attributes • Good communication and coordination skills • Organized and systematic working style • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
