Assessment Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assessment Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for customizing and templatizing assessments, quizzes, and learning resources based on the provided materials. The candidate should possess a deep understanding of content development, instructional design, and unit competency. They will work collaboratively to ensure high-quality, competency-aligned resources for our students.

Job Description/Day-to-Day Activities

• Analyze units of competency and related guidelines to understand requirements.
• Customize assessments, quizzes, and online activities based on provided resources and organizational templates.
• Develop new assessments and learning activities from scratch, ensuring alignment with competency standards.
• Review and revise marking guides to ensure clarity and alignment with assessments.
• Create engaging and interactive online learning modules using organizational tools.
• Collaborate with the compliance and academic teams to ensure adherence to ASQA and VET standards.
• Conduct quality checks and proofread all developed materials for accuracy and compliance.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and standards related to instructional design and content development.
• Support the team in organizing and managing assessment-related documentation.

Key Skills Required

• Strong understanding of instructional design principles and competency-based training.
• Excellent reading and comprehension skills to interpret units of competency and guidelines effectively.
• Proficiency in content development tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and online LMS platforms).
• Ability to develop assessments, quizzes, and learning resources from scratch.
• Attention to detail to ensure all resources meet compliance standards.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proactive communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with VET training frameworks and ASQA compliance requirements is highly desirable.

Minimum Academic Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, or a related field.

Experience Required

• At least 2-3 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in customizing and templatizing assessments for vocational education and training (VET).
• Familiarity with Australian VET standards and frameworks is preferred.

Salary Expectation

• According to Industry Standards, depending on qualifications and experience and on interview performance.
