Industry

Role Objective:

To drive secondary sales, distributor/channel partner performance, and retail penetration for the TMT steel brand across assigned territories in Tamil Nadu by building a strong dealer network and ensuring consistent market visibility and demand generation.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Distribution

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual secondary sales targets.
  • Expand dealer, retailer, and sub-dealer network across assigned districts.
  • Monitor stock movement and ensure timely secondary billing from distributors.
  • Track competitor pricing, schemes, and market activities and report insights for strategic decisions.
  • Implement sales promotion schemes and ensure visibility at channel partner points.

Channel Management

  • Appoint and onboard new dealers/distributors in potential markets.
  • Conduct regular visits to distributors, retailers, and fabricators to maintain strong business relationships.
  • Ensure distributor ROI, stock availability, and adherence to company policies.
  • Resolve channel conflicts and ensure smooth supply chain coordination.

Market Development & Branding

  • Drive product visibility through branding, hoardings, glow sign boards, and shop branding.
  • Organize mason/fabricator meets, contractor connect programs, and influencer engagement activities.
  • Coordinate with marketing team for local promotional campaigns and festival offer rollouts.

Team & Reporting

  • Guide and monitor Sales Officers / Territory Sales Executives / Business Development Officers.
  • Daily market visit planning and retail coverage tracking.
  • Submit MIS reports sales achievement, market intelligence, beat plan coverage, competitor movements, etc.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Experience

    : 510 years in secondary sales of TMT steel / building materials / cement / paints / construction-related products.
  • Strong dealer/distributor network knowledge in Tamil Nadu market.
  • Tamil fluency is

    mandatory

    , with working knowledge of English.
  • Good negotiation skills, channel relationship management, and local market knowledge.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively across assigned territory.

Education:

  • Any Graduate / MBA (Sales & Marketing preferred).

Compensation: Maximum gross up to 8 LPA with incentives linked to secondary sales performance.
