Job Summary

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for driving sales growth, distributor management, market expansion, and team handling across the Kerala region for agarbathi and allied pooja products.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory (Kerala).
  
• Appoint, manage, and motivate distributors, super stockists, and key retailers.
  
• Ensure strong secondary sales and market coverage across urban and rural markets.
  
• Monitor distributor stock levels, outstanding collections, and credit control.
  
• Implement trade schemes, promotions, and new product launches effectively.
  
• Lead, train, and monitor Sales Officers / Territory Sales Executives.
  
• Conduct regular market visits to improve visibility, distribution, and brand presence.
  
• Track competitor activities, pricing, and market trends; provide market feedback.
  
• Ensure effective merchandising, visibility, and in-store branding.
  
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales and market reports.
  

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong experience in FMCG sales, preferably in

  Agarbathi / Pooja / Food / Home Care products

  .
• Excellent distributor and channel management skills.
  
• Good leadership and team-handling capabilities.
  
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  
• Knowledge of Kerala FMCG market dynamics and trade practices.
  
• Willingness to travel extensively across Kerala.
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel and sales reporting.
  

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Currently working as ASM in FMCG.
  
• Hands-on experience in general trade (GT) distribution.
  
• Exposure to launching new markets or expanding distribution networks.
  
• Fluency in Malayalam preferred.
  

Compensation

• CTC:

  Maximum gross up to 11 LPA
• Performance incentives and travel allowances as applicable
