Art Director

Experience Required:

• 7-8 years of experience in an agency set up

Major Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible to be a ‘Design-Generalist’, proficient in multi-disciplinary design, including graphic design, motion graphics, production, editorial design, branding, packaging, etc.
• Collaborate with clients or account managers to discuss business objectives and requirements of the job.
• Interpret clients' business needs and develop concepts to suit their purpose.
• Develop design briefs by gathering information and data through research.
• Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.
• Articulate ideas and concepts to the design team, the creative team, and clients.
• Provide feedback to the team and encourage and guide junior team members to do their best work.
• Create and maintain brand guidelines for multiple brands and design distinctive visual tonality for these brands.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies in design and advertising.
• Responsible to stay aware of current and upcoming trends in the visual arts.
• Create designs, concepts, and layouts based on knowledge of visual hierarchy, grid systems, and typography.
• Invest time in creating workshops and training sessions that empower junior designers. 

Skills Required:

• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Must have multi-disciplinary design skills – have a basic understanding of production (including pre-production and post-production), 3D graphics, motion graphics, web, and UI/UX. 
• Must have advanced knowledge of Digital and print graphics.
• Effective time management and project management skills.
• Efficiently managing day-to-day design requirements.
• Ability to provide creative direction and feedback to the design team.
• Strong client servicing skills with the ability to understand clients' business needs.
• Ability to lead and manage a team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to junior team members.
• Ability to develop and implement design standards and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency across projects.
• Ability to create and maintain brand guidelines for multiple brands and design distinctive visual tonality for these brands.
• Ability to create training sessions for junior team members.
