Job Description

Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our company as an Area Sales Manager. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the sales operations within a designated geographic area. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent sales acumen, and the ability to drive sales growth while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets in the assigned area.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and distributors, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  3. Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team sales objectives.
  4. Conduct regular market analysis to identify business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitor activities.
  5. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the companys products/services and effectively communicate their value proposition to customers.
  6. Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze data, and provide timely reports to senior management.
  7. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop effective promotional campaigns and sales strategies.
  8. Train and mentor sales team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and professional growth.
  9. Conduct regular field visits to assess market conditions, customer satisfaction, and sales team effectiveness.
  10. Stay updated with industry developments, market trends, and customer needs to identify areas for improvement and capitalize on market opportunities.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  2. Proven experience as a successful sales professional, with at least 5 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
  3. Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  4. Excellent leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  6. Sound knowledge of sales techniques, market analysis, and business development strategies.
  7. Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
  8. Proficiency in using CRM software and sales management tools.
  9. Result-oriented approach, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  10. Valid drivers license and willingness to travel within the assigned area.
