Job Title

  1. Sales Strategy & Planning:

    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and business plans for the FMCG products.
    • Forecast sales targets and ensure achievement of monthly/quarterly/annual sales goals.
    • Conduct market analysis to identify new opportunities and areas for growth.

  1. Team Management & Development:

    • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives and executives.
    • Provide training and guidance to sales teams to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
    • Set clear performance expectations and monitor sales team performance through regular reports and reviews.

  1. Customer Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and customers.
    • Address customer queries, issues, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
    • Conduct business reviews with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.

  1. Market Penetration & Brand Visibility:

    • Develop strategies to increase the companys market share within the assigned region.
    • Ensure product availability, visibility, and shelf space in key retail outlets.
    • Coordinate with the marketing team for promotional campaigns, discounts, and product launches to enhance brand awareness.

  1. Sales Reporting & Analysis:

    • Prepare and submit detailed sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
    • Analyze sales performance, track market trends, and competitor activity.
    • Recommend pricing strategies and promotional offers based on market conditions and sales data.

  1. Budget Management:

    • Manage sales budgets effectively, ensuring that costs are controlled while achieving sales targets.
    • Monitor the allocation of resources for sales operations, ensuring optimal spending for maximum returns.

  1. Cross-Department Collaboration:

    • Work closely with other departments (marketing, supply chain, finance) to ensure seamless product delivery and customer satisfaction.
    • Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams about customer preferences and product performance.

  1. Compliance & Reporting:

    • Ensure all sales activities comply with legal regulations and industry standards.
    • Keep accurate records of all sales transactions and customer interactions.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education

    : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Masters degree or MBA is a plus).
  • Experience

    : Minimum of 5 years of experience in FMCG sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Leadership Skills

    : Proven track record of leading and motivating sales teams to exceed targets.
  • Communication

    : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers, partners, and internal teams effectively.
  • Analytical Skills

    : Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales figures and market data.
  • Customer-Oriented

    : Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Negotiation Skills

    : Experience in negotiating deals, contracts, and pricing with distributors and retailers.
  • Tech-Savvy

    : Proficiency in using sales software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Time Management

    : Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
