Job Description

Role & responsibilities

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth in the assigned territory by managing a team of Sales Officers, achieving sales targets, building strong dealer/channel partner relationships, and ensuring operational excellence. The role requires a strong understanding of retail finance products, market dynamics, and team leadership.

Drive sales performance and achieve assigned business targets for the region.
Identify new business opportunities and expand dealer and channel partner networks.
Ensure effective product penetration across the assigned geography.

Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Sales Officers / Relationship Officers.
Monitor daily performance and ensure consistent productivity.

Strengthen relationships with existing dealers, distributors, and channel partners.
Onboard new dealers and ensure smooth operational and financial engagement.

Ensure adherence to company policies, credit norms, and operational guidelines.
Maintain high-quality portfolio standards through proper screening and documentation.

Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
Analyze performance metrics and suggest improvement strategies.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Deep understanding of local markets and customer behavior.
Result-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build and maintain dealer/channel relationships.

Qualification & Experience:

Graduate / Postgraduate (MBA preferred).
68 years of experience in Sales within NBFC / Banking / FMCG / Consumer Durables segment
Prior experience in handling a team and dealer/channel network is a must.
