Job Description – Area Sales Manager (ASM)Position Title: Area Sales ManagerDepartment: Sales MarketingReporting To: Regional Sales Manager / Zonal Sales ManagerLocation: chennai Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement effective sales strategies for the assigned area. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Manage, train, and motivate a team of sales representatives or territory sales executives. Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and take corrective actions where necessary. Identify new business opportunities and work on territory expansion. Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, dealers, and distributors. Conduct regular market visits to gather market intelligence and competitor insights. Ensure proper execution of marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and product launches. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain/logistics for stock availability. Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and strategies. Requirements:Education: Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred). Experience: 3 years in sales, with at least 1–2 years in a managerial role. Proven experience in handling channel/distributor sales. Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Ability to analyze data and draw actionable insights. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
