Job Description

We are seeking a performance-driven Area Sales Executive to drive market penetration and visibility of our tea brands across all SMT (Small Market Town) outlets in the Kolhapur region. This role demands strong negotiation skills, channel activation capability, and end-to-end management of sales promoters and trade inputs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Distribution & Placement

  • Ensure availability and placement of all company tea brands across all SMT outlets in the assigned territory.
  • Drive expansion of distribution footprint and shelf presence.

2. Visibility & Negotiation

  • Negotiate for premium visibility space and ensure adherence to visibility planograms at store shelves.
  • Support execution of branding elements and in-store merchandising.

3. Promotions & Consumer Engagement

  • Plan and execute regular trade inputs, schemes, and offers tailored for SMT outlets.
  • Coordinate and follow up on promotion activities such as wet sampling, outlet anniversary celebrations, and other consumer engagement events.

4. Sales Performance

  • Achieve weekly and monthly volume and value targets.
  • Generate secondary sales by closely working with outlet promoters and trade partners.

5. Team Management

  • Assign promoters to outlets and supervise daily working, discipline, and performance.
  • Liaise with promoters to drive consistent output and quality of execution.

6. Operations & Stock Management

  • Track and follow up on stockist payments, order execution, and rotation of aging stocks.
  • Ensure optimal stock levels and timely order bookings across outlets.

7. Reporting & Compliance

  • Submit daily reports to the supervisor detailing activities, placements, and execution status.
  • Share weekly summaries covering promotions, stock orders, visibility execution, and progress against targets.

Candidate Profile

  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • 3-5 years of FMCG field sales experience, preferably in beverages or food categories.
  • Strong negotiation and market activation skills.
  • Prior experience managing promoters or merchandisers is an added advantage.
  • Good communication, relationship-building, and territory management skills.
  • Must be open to extensive market travel across Kolhapur.
