Job Title: Area Manager/ Regional ManagerInternational Regional Head (Emerging countries/ ROW market)

Location: Mumbai

Industry: Pharmaceutical (Cardio-Diabetic Segment Preferred)

Experience: 1. Minimum 8 years in Pharmaceutical Business with last four years as Regional or State Head

2. Domestic experience preferred

Team Management: Must have managed a team of 3-4 Area Managers and 20 MRs

Travel: Overseas travel 15 days per month.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Head to drive prescriptions and sales in Emerging countries and ROW market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, preferably in the Cardio-Diabetic segment, and a proven track record of successfully leading team of Area Managers and MRs. This role will be directly responsible for achieving sales targets, developing and implementing market strategies, and leading a team of Country Managers to maximize business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development: Directly responsible for achieving sales targets and revenue growth in Africa/Asia markets by generating prescriptions.
  • Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute strategic prescriptions from doctors and sales plans to drive product penetration and market share.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a team of 4-6 Country Managers to ensure high performance and goal achievement.
  • Market Analysis: Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Client & Partner Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, healthcare professionals, and key stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure sales and promotional activities comply with regional pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Reporting & Performance Monitoring: Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports to track progress and suggest corrective actions.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Plan and manage sales budgets effectively to optimize resource allocation and maximize profitability.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience, out of which last 3 to 4 years in Managerial role Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing with a preference for candidates from the Cardio-Diabetic segment.
  • Regional Expertise: Prior experience in handling sales and doctors prescriptions in the market
  • Leadership Skills: Must have led a team of Managers.
  • Sales Acumen: Strong ability to drive sales strategies, product promotion to doctors market development, and revenue growth.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong ability to analyse data, market trends, and business opportunities.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel overseas at least 15 days in a month.

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Science or Pharmaceuticals
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing team of Area Managers and MRs
