Purpose of the Role

The job holder is responsible for effectively managing the set of supermarkets assigned, by managing the team effectively and aligning with management on business goals (sales, costs, margins). The job holder has to supervise other key operations like Merchandising, Marketing, Retail operations and supply to the stores, to ensure the stores are as per required parameters on look and feel aspect. The job holder executes all the strategies designed and developed by COO or ROH in the respective cluster. This role also requires knowledge of the geography, market, customer, competition trends along with driving efficiencies in all the functions to achieve business objectives faster.

Principal Responsibilities

Drive store standards through rigorous audit and feedback based on the SOP Drive sales by coordinating with the MPR & DC teams to ensure availability of merchandise in assigned stores Ensure freshness and availability of F&V in the stores by coordinating with F&V Category Manager and FEM (F&V being the key driver of Store NOBs and number of customer missions) Monitor and improve NPS through customer feedback analysis and corrective actions Monitor the Store Overheads and identify opportunities for cost reduction/optimization Reduce wastages in the store by analyzing and driving corrective actions on damage, expiry and shrink control processes and Coach the store managers on all aspects of store operations and people management Work along with the marketing head to activate the catchment through D2D campaigns periodically Open new stores in the area assigned and be fully accountable for the success by achieving the capex expectations and beyond Drive operations and service training with the training manager by ensuring that the staff at all levels have adequate knowledge to perform their jobs Build a succession pipeline in the cluster for all Store Management team roles by identifying talent, monitoring training and assessing the readiness of talent pool. Ensure statutory compliance for all the stores in respective clusters.

Education and Experience

5+ years of experience preferably in retail and expert in operations.

2+ Yrs. experience post MBA, preferably in Retail, in the field of (Operations /Sales/ SCM)

Knowledge of Telugu language is a must
