Role Overview:

The Area Manager will be responsible for managing and driving the performance of the HUL Modern Trade Promoter Program across the East Region. This includes overseeing promoter operations, ensuring execution excellence, driving sales growth, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across modern trade outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management:

    • Lead, train, and motivate a team of field executives and promoters across multiple cities in the East region.
    • Ensure timely recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of promoters.
  • Operational Excellence:

    • Ensure flawless execution of in-store promoter activities across all modern trade outlets.
    • Monitor promoter attendance, discipline, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Sales & Performance Monitoring:

    • Track and analyze sales performance metrics and KPIs.
    • Drive sales targets through effective promoter engagement and store-level interventions.
  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Liaise with HUL regional teams, store managers, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
    • Resolve escalations and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Insights:

    • Provide regular reports on program performance, promoter productivity, and market insights.
    • Recommend improvements based on data analysis and field feedback.
  • Compliance & Audit:

    • Ensure adherence to compliance standards, including attendance, grooming, and merchandising norms.
    • Conduct regular audits and surprise checks to maintain program integrity.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in field operations, preferably in FMCG/Modern Trade.
  • Prior experience in managing promoter programs or retail execution is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the East region.
