Area Manager - Debt Management Services - The Wheels - 2W/3W
About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Manager for Debt Management Services, specializing in The Wheels segment (2-wheelers and 3-wheelers). The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and driving debt recovery operations, managing a team of field executives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards within the assigned geographical area. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of debt recovery executives and agency partners to achieve targeted recoveries for 2W/3W loan portfolios.
  • Plan and implement strategies for effective debt collection, skip tracing, and minimizing overdue accounts.
  • Monitor collection activities, generate regular performance reports, and analyze trends to improve recovery rates.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, legal guidelines, and ethical collection practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, legal authorities, and third-party agencies.
  • Conduct regular field visits for high-value or challenging cases and support team members in negotiations.
  • Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members to enhance productivity and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including credit, risk, and operations teams, to resolve complex cases and improve processes.
  • Prepare and present area-level collection performance updates to senior management.

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in debt recovery/collections, preferably in the vehicle finance sector.
  • Proven leadership and team management s.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal s.
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory and legal frameworks governing debt collections.
  • Proficient in MS Office and collection management software.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
