About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Support genetic improvement programs through data analysis and interpretation
• Assist in managing breeding databases and genetic data pipelines
• Contribute to molecular marker analysis and genomic selection projects
• Collaborate with breeders and field teams on trial designs and data collection
• Help implement and optimize breeding technologies and processes
• Participate in genetic gain assessment and breeding program evaluation
• Support quality control measures in genetic testing and seed production

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Genetics, Plant Science, Plant Breeding, Biotechnology, or related field
• Understanding of quantitative genetics and breeding concepts
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software (R, Python, or similar)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with breeding management software and databases
• Knowledge of molecular markers and genomic selection methods
• Familiarity with agricultural field trials and experimental design
• Understanding of seed industry practices and regulations
• Experience with high-throughput genetic analysis techniques
