Application Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Provide implementation support to the onboarding team, assisting with smooth integration and deployment of our products and services for new customers.
• Analyze and troubleshoot application issues by reviewing application logs, identifying root causes, and suggesting solutions.
• Review and debug application code (preferably in interpreted languages like PHP, Nodejs, or Python) to pinpoint issues or areas for improvement.
• Address technical inquiries from clients and internal teams related to system functionality, configurations, and usage.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively within established timelines.
• Monitor application availability and performance, and conduct initial triage of product-related incidents.
• Proactively analyze incidents, ensuring prompt response and resolution within agreed SLAs.
• Escalate complex issues that require deeper analysis to the product engineering team, providing detailed diagnostic insights.
• Validate system functionalities post-maintenance or deployments, ensuring the applications run as expected.
• Regularly perform operational tasks required to maintain application environments, ensuring high availability and minimal disruption.
• Communicate with customers via email, addressing and managing technical issues professionally and clearly.
• Continuously monitor application components to proactively enhance customer experience.

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in analyzing application and server logs for troubleshooting and debugging purposes.
• Beginner to intermediate level knowledge of MySQL, with the ability to write effective SQL queries.
• Networking
• Basic Linux server administration and familiarity with server command-line tools.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with at least one interpreted programming language (e.g., PHP, Nodejs, or Python).

Requirements:

• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends or evenings, if required.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, databases, and application architecture.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical information and problem resolutions in English.
• Excellent analytical skills in troubleshooting and triaging technical issues.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize tasks under pressure.
