We are looking for an experienced and proactive Tidal Workload Automation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience with Tidal Workload Automation (formerly Cisco Tidal), along with a solid understanding of job scheduling, batch processing, automation best practices, and incident management. The role requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to manage workload automation for complex enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain Tidal Workload Automation environments, including job design, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Create, update, and optimize job groups, calendars, triggers, and alerts. Migrate and onboard workloads into Tidal from other scheduling tools or manual processes. Work closely with application support, infrastructure, and business teams to gather scheduling requirements and ensure timely job execution. Analyze job failures, identify root causes, and implement preventive actions. Provide support for critical batch jobs and ensure SLAs are met. Prepare and maintain documentation related to Tidal job configurations and processes. Participate in change, incident, and problem management processes. Identify opportunities for automation and optimization within the batch scheduling ecosystem. Required Skills: 4 to 7 years of experience in workload automation, with at least 4 years of hands-on experience using Tidal Workload Automation. Strong understanding of batch job lifecycle management and dependency handling. Familiarity with scripting (Shell, PowerShell, or Python) for automation and troubleshooting. Good knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux/Unix). Experience working in ITIL-based environments (Incident, Change, and Problem Management). Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. Nice-to-Have: Experience with migrations from legacy scheduling tools (e.g., ESP, Control-M) to Tidal. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and integrating cloud jobs into Tidal. Knowledge of database jobs and monitoring (Oracle, SQL Server). Exposure to service management tools like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
