Application Specialist

As an Application Specialist at Emerson, you will be a part of the Liquid Management Solutions Team, responsible for working independently and collaboratively to enhance solutions and project-specific standards. Your primary focus will be on building and implementing standards, benchmarking performance metrics, estimating effort for initiatives, and providing customer support for products in the Oil and Gas industry. Your key responsibilities will include: - Handling customer support requests and resolving issues related to the products - Leading existing implementations and conducting internal R&D initiatives - Reviewing technical design specifications - Participating in functional, regression, and performance testing - Coordinating between technical resources and business collaborators - Documenting client business processes and requirements - Interacting with different client groups to provide technical support - Writing user documentation and conducting client training sessions To excel in this role, you will need: - Minimum 3 to 10 years of experience in software development - BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a technical equivalent - Proficiency in Microsoft .NET Framework and development experience in C#, ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML/JSON - Experience in SQL Server, TSQL, stored procedure design, and database performance optimization - Knowledge of Windows Internet Information Services (IIS) and experience with Business Intelligence tools - Familiarity with Azure Cloud computing, MVC, WPF, Entity Framework, and other programming languages/tools Preferred qualifications that set you apart include: - Experience with project lifecycles, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills - Attention to detail, organizational skills, and Oil & Gas industry experience - Intermediate to Expert proficiency in MS Office and technical know-how - Experience with new product development and release cycles in a Professional Services/Technology Solutions environment At Emerson, you will be part of a diverse and inclusive culture that values employee wellbeing, career development, and innovation.
