Job description
A student application specialist is responsible for managing and streamlining the student application process, including evaluating academic records, making admissions decisions, maintaining accurate data, and providing essential support and guidance to students throughout the admissions process
Core Responsibilities
- Receive, review, and process student applications, ensuring all information aligns with institutional policies and regulations
- Communicate with prospective students to address inquiries, request additional information, and convey admissions decisions
- Input admissions decisions into institutional systems, issue offers and maintain high levels of accuracy in applicant records
- Handle data management for admissions records, particularly for students requiring documentation for regulatory compliance (e.g., CAS under UKVI for UK schools)
- Provide quality customer service as the first point of contact for students, parents, and faculty regarding application and enrollment processes
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to synchronize admissions and retention initiatives
- Attend meetings and professional development sessions related to student support and admissions.
- Use CRM and MS Office tools for data entry, reporting, and correspondence
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 2 years of application/a admissions processing experience, preferably in higher education or international admissions
- Strong understanding of university programs, curricula, and eligibility requirements
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of attention to detail and data accuracy
- Time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office, and other database tools
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively within a diverse team environment
Typical Tasks
- Review new applications and assess if all required documents are provided
- Seek missing information from students and update their records accordingly
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all student records
- Help students understand next steps in the application process and direct them to appropriate resources
This role is crucial for ensuring a positive applicant experience and maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the admissions process
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
