Title:Apigee Developer _ Technical Lead

Description:

Area(s) of responsibility

Design, develop, and implement API proxies and microservices using APIGEE X and Python frameworks (Flask preferred). Participate in architectural reviews and maintain best practices.
Develop microservices using Python following codding best practices, containerize and deploy services on GKE; contribute to CI/CD pipelines and artifact governance.
Understand application functionality & drive discussion with business to understand the functional requirement.
Integrate microservices with cloud provided services (GCP Machine Translation, GCP Document AI).
Ensure API security, scalability, and performance; enforce API contracts, versioning, and interoperability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API specifications and ensure seamless integration.
Monitor, troubleshoot (debugging), and optimize API performance; implement analytics and reporting.

Required Qualifications

More than 7 years of experience in IT industry as a developer, Tech lead.
Strong expertise in APIGEE (preferably APIGEE X) platform.
Understanding of APIGEE API lifecycle management and monetization.
Strong hands-on experience in Python and RESTful API development Unit testing, performance testing.
Familiarity with API security protocols (OAuth2, JWT), IAM, and governance.
Skilled to write complicated SQL queries. Experience with cloud databases (Cloud SQL (MySQL or PostgreSQL), BigQuery) and integrating with data stores/analytics layers.
Hands-on experience with deployment on Kubernetes/GKE, Docker, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are must.
Good communication to interact with business & other stockholders.

Good To Have:

Awareness of SDLC, compliance, and traceability requirements. Exposure to regulated domains (pharma, GxP) is a plus.
Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger).
