Job Title: Product Manager and Operations for API

Job Summary: As the Product Manager for APIs, you will lead cross-functional delivery initiatives for our API products. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure alignment of the product roadmap, milestones, dependencies, and risk management across product management, engineering, UX, and documentation teams. Your leadership will be pivotal in orchestrating the entire release lifecycle, including calendar management, scope freeze, QA signoff, change logs/release notes, environment coordination, and rollback readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

• API Product Management and Operations:
  • Define and communicate the vision and strategy for Kensho Spark Assist API, aligning with overall business and Enterprise strategy for genAI.
  • Support cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of API products, ensuring alignment on priorities and timelines.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration among product management, engineering, UX, and documentation teams to ensure timely delivery of API products.
  • Oversee the entire release lifecycle, managing critical milestones and dependencies.
• User Engagement:
  • Foster strong connections with the API user community through platforms like Viva Engage and Spark Assist Office Hours.
  • Address user queries, collect feedback, and translate user insights into actionable improvements for the API product roadmap.
• Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of change logs and release notes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in product management, particularly in API products.
• Familiarity with generative AI concepts, tools and applications, particularly in the concept of product development
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in leading Agile teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in risk management and release lifecycle coordination.
• Familiarity with user engagement tools and techniques.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the financial services or technology industry.
• Knowledge of API design and development processes.
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., ADO, Confluence, gitHub).
